Follow the 2018 Dakar as if you were there!

Because so many of you are keen to follow the Dakar and the performance of the competitors who will be running on our tires, BFGoodrich® has put together a bespoke communications plan to help you to experience the passion, the atmosphere of the bivouacs and the thrills on the stages as if you were actually in South America. Ready for the ride?

From January 6 to January 20, a field of almost 600 competitors will join battle over some 9,000 kilometres of roads, trails and sand dunes as they head from Peru to Argentina, via Bolivia. It goes without saying that the 2018 Dakar’s exacting course promises to make huge demands of their respective vehicles and tires!

To make sure you don’t miss a beat of the action, and also to help you to follow the crews competing on BFGoodrich® tires, we are running a bespoke website ( ) to provide you with unique coverage of the event in French, English and Spanish .

Content will include daily stories written by our reporter in the field whose mission is to share the anecdotes he picks up along the way, news and his own personal impressions, as well as interviews with competitors. Featured, too, will be the work of the drivers of the BFGoodrich® Dakar Service Center truck which hauls our tires from one bivouac to the next. We will also be bringing you videos and a live results service, plus a special focus on the participation Markus Walcher, the winner of our GoodProject competition who is contesting the rally in BFGoodrich®’s colours.

Also available will be exclusive photos, especially of our tires in general and of the new BFGoodrich® All-Terrain KDR2+ – designed especially for the 40th Dakar – in particular. And don’t forget to take part in the two competitions we will be running on Facebook and Twitter!

At the same time, we invite you to share your own Dakar stories, as well as your passion for this extraordinary rally via our Facebook , Instagram and Twitter accounts (#BFGoodrichtires / #TeamUp / #Dakar2018).

We hope you enjoy our exclusive coverage!
